There is nothing quite like a still to tell a story in a single moment. Over the course of my career I’ve worked with clients such as HOKA, Al Jazeera, Yaqeen Institute, & Human Development Fund. Whilst I have taken photos for weddings, graduations, family sessions, street portraits, businesses, & more, below are photos that relate closely with this role at David Douglas School District. MARKETING & DESIGN MATERIALS

Promotional content for a instagram campaign.

When creating video content for social media, I typically begin by filming in a horizontal 1920×1080 format. This approach provides greater flexibility, allowing footage to be repurposed for future promotional materials, presentations, websites, wide-screen displays, or projected events without sacrificing quality.

Once the edit is assembled, I focus on optimizing the content for social media engagement. This includes selecting appropriate background music, adding subtitles to improve accessibility and viewer retention, and designing a compelling reel cover that encourages users to click and watch the content. My goal is to create videos that are both visually engaging and adaptable across multiple platforms and communication needs.

My Background

VIDEO FOR SOCIAL

During my time at Life2Launch, I helped lead the launch of L2L Agency, a digital media initiative that supported nonprofits through social media strategy, content creation, and digital storytelling. One of our key partnerships was with the Southwestern Oregon Workforce Investment Board (SOWIB), where we facilitated a week-long, hands-on social media training for eight staff members, including interns and managers.

The goal of the training was to equip participants with frameworks for creating consistent, engaging social media content using only their smartphones. Rather than relying on expensive equipment or advanced production skills, we focused on sustainable content creation practices that staff could realistically implement on a regular basis. Through workshops, content exercises, and one-on-one coaching, participants learned how to plan, film, edit, and publish videos that effectively communicated their organization's mission and programs.
