It first started out with youtube videos back in 2016 & poetry in the middle of the night during covid & it is still as such: a kid with a pen & a camera.

With nearly 5 years of international experience across 3 countries, Salah works on everything that involves visual storytelling including high-end documentaries, narrative films, branded content, and commercials, but is perhaps best known for his naturalistic cinematography and a story-driven directing style grounded in his Somali storytelling roots.

Salah’s video and stills client Al Jazeera, HOKA, RunnerSpace, WestCoastXC, University of Oregon, Portland State University, Nike, and many others. Salah has also partnered extensively with non-profit organizations such as Social Venture Partners Portland, The African Youth & Community Organization, Life2Launch, Center for African Immigrants and Refugees Organization, and The Southwestern Oregon Workforce Investment Board.
